Birley Court is mentioned in the Doomsday Book when it was bequeathed to Roger de Birley from William the Conqueror. The House has been altered many times since then and is now predominantly Queen Anne with a large early Victorian wing.

The house sits in 25 acres including 4 acres of formal gardens, waterlily pond, duck pond, wood, large walled kitchen garden and paddocks.

Birley Court - Exterior

We have 2 large double bed Guest rooms with bathrooms and a twin bedded room that could be used by additional family members. All our rooms have coffee and tea making facilities and a radio/alarm and have wifi internet access. All furniture and decor is to the highest standards in keeping with the beauty of the House.

Enjoy the grounds, play croquet, boules or for the young at heart, try the trampoline or row in the boating pond. Friendly non- chicken and cat chasing dogs are welcome but sleep in the kennels in the courtyard, by prior arrangement. Horses can be also be accommodated by prior arrangement.

Being a family we very much welcome children and have tree houses, ponies to pet and many toys. Please note we have several large unfenced ponds so young children must be monitored at all times.
